Productions with Jordan Abraham
His brushes are electronic, his canvas aural, and the subject being captured is the voice of yet another singer trying to find the depth of his/her lyrics. Jordan is a passionate producer, an intuitive engineer, an accomplished musician, and an effective communicator through many mediums. His own compositions have been used in stage plays, dance performances, television soundtracks, advertising, and sporting events.
Jordan was born and raised in Canada, but his family hails from a small population of Indian Jews in Mumbai, India. His South Asian background has given him a unique perspective on music. After taking a dual bachelor’s degree from Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts in 1993, Abraham returned to his hometown of Hamilton, Ontario Canada where he has been working full-time in style-fusing projects with musicians from many different cultural backgrounds including: African, Cuban, Indian, and Lebanese.
Currently, Jordan acts as music director for the traditional klezmer ensemble "Touch Of Klez" as well as being accordionist/pianist for the Johannes Linstead Band. In addition, he runs his own recording studio which, so far, has produced hundreds of album projects, demos, jingles, and special projects in styles ranging from classical to punk, country to world music, hip-hop to jazz and everything in between!
When he is not in the studio arranging, producing, engineering, and/or playing on a recording (along with David Guild and the rest of the SpectreBox production team), Jordan can be found designing and installing sound systems for houses of worship, and commercial buildings or providing sound systems for event stages with the audio/video company Professional Audio Services which he has owned and operated since 2009.
Jordan’s hobbies include photography and drama both of which he sadly admits he doesn't have much time for these days.
