Whether you're looking to start a career in the broadcast industry, or looking for an interesting hobby becoming a Cable 14 Volunteer is a great way to learn new skills. Through the program our Volunteers have the opportunity to learn all the aspects of broadcast television production, both in front of and behind the camera. Cable 14 Volunteers are trained on industry standard equipment, and learn from experienced professionals, creating real television programming.

In addition to seeing how TV is made, our Volunteers get to experience many unique aspects of our community. Our television production crews go behind the scenes at many locations to show viewers what they don't normally get to see. Some of these locations could include inside a kitchen at a restaurant, factory floors, press boxes/locker rooms at sporting events, backstage at events, or in staff only areas of local attractions.

The programs we produce at Cable 14 highlight our community as being the best place to live, work, play and learn. We share things that matter with the rest of Hamilton/Haldimand, discuss important local issues and showcase great people doing great things. Our Volunteer team is an essential part of making this happen! Volunteering at Cable 14 can also help students get community service hours.
