Jeremy Mote

Jeremy Mote is the Editor, Camera Operator & Sound Technician for The Sammy Squid Show.

Jeremy has been working in the TV industry since 1989, starting at CHCH-TV working on mobile productions such as NHL hockey, CFL football, WWF wrestling, OUA sports, studio & EFP productions.  Worked in many positions in on-air operations  such as teletape, VTR, audio and video graphics.  After a layoff in 1993, was contracted for season 3 of 'The Red Green Show' as set decorator and creator of Red's inventions on 'Handyman's Corner'.  Worked for CFPL-TV in on-air operations (VTR & Master Control) from 93 to 97, returned to CHCH-TV as Master Control Supervisor, until laid off in 2002.  Immediately went to work for CTS-TV (now YES-TV) as a Master Control Operator, promoted to supervisor in 2020, and continues to work there.

 When not at work Jeremy plays in several local bands, either on bass or keyboards, sometimes even on cajon.  Has done music videos for local bands such as The Lowdown Dirty Mojos, Paul Sage and DFP.  Known for photography as well, requested by local talent such as Trickbag and Ginger St. James.

 Also runs a modest recording studio, has produced tracks for Sam Squid, Big Johnny Blue, as well as DFP's "Rock n Roll Ain't Dead" EP, for which he was a member (keys & bass).
